In fact, there is no cure or method that can cure autism. Moreover, there is no way to completely treat the main symptoms. All their life, they have to live with autism.
However, treatments are available to help people with autism adjust to their condition. So, it is still very possible for people with autism spectrum disorders to live better and independent lives. Over time, they can get better with proper care.
Currently, experts and researchers from all over the world are still working to find the latest methods, technologies, or treatments so that autism can be completely cured. However, this can indeed take a long time.
What is the treatment for autism spectrum disorder like?
Although autism is a lifelong disorder and cannot be completely cured, medication and therapy can help reduce autism symptoms and support functional abilities.
The doctor will recommend the types of therapy that the patient really needs. The reason is, the condition of autism in each person is different, as well as the level of severity. Your child may need regular speech or occupational therapy. It could also be that children do not need intensive therapy, only need parental assistance at home.
